For the inaugural project of its $150 million capital campaign, the Houston Zoo stayed close to home, focusing on iconic wildlife and habitats of the Lone Star state. Featuring bald eagles, whooping cranes, and American alligators, Texas Wetlands celebrates the natural biodiversity and ecological importance of the state’s shallow water habitats, from the Gulf Coast to the Rio Grande.
